It’s about Time

And the children of Issachar, who were men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do… (1 Chronicles 12:32)

(Matthew 24:12-14 NIV) Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

“If the heart grows cold, everything will be coldly done. When love declines, what cold preaching we have!  And what poor praying! Do you call it praying? What little giving! When the heart is cold, the hands can find nothing in the purse; Is there anything that goes on as it should go when love waxes cold?” (Spurgeon)

This Gospel –  Good from a good

Good Messenger

(Isaiah 52:7 NIV) How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

The feet speak of activity, motion, and progress, and those who are active and moving in the work of preaching the gospel have beautiful … feet!

(Luke 10:2 NIV) He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

1. Accept the

(Romans 10:13-15 NLT) For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

2. Develop a

(1 Corinthians 9:22 LB) “…Whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so that he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him.”

“I don’t have to be like them to reach them, but I do have to like them.” – John Maxwell

3. Share my

(1 Peter 3:15-16 NIV) But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

Good Message

(Isaiah 52:7 NIV) How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

God loves you and sent His Son to

(John 3:16 NIV) God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

God can give you no matter the

(John 16:33 NLT) “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

God will to make it through.

(2 Corinthians 4:3, 8-9 NLT) If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing… We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.

God is ready to

(Romans 10:9-10 NIV) That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
