Enlarge the place of your Tent

March 21, 2021

The unknown can really paralyze a person who is not willing to stretch beyond their fears……..

For we are God’s handiwork, His masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

You need to prepare yourself for what God has for you………..

Thesis: God has more for us than we can imagine or ask for (Ephesians 3:20) and when we make room for ‘the more of God. He fills the space!

There is more for you life than you currently living right now.

KEY TEXT: [Isaiah 54:2-4]

“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities. Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame.

We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us” [2 Corinthians 10:13]

Greek. METRON = a measured boundary, a potential inheritance, a capacity, the limits that God has set.

[Exodus 3:7-10]

The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people… I have heard them crying out… and I am concerned about them” So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land.

4 keys to enlarging your capacity (moving your tent pegs)

 1. Come close to the and

Moses said to himself, “This is amazing, why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.” When the LORD saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, “Moses! Moses!”  [Exodus 3:3]

For our God is a consuming Fire. Hebrews 12:29

2. Replace with ?”

“But Moses said to God, who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” [Exodus 3:11]

Many times we get trapped with who am I , who am I is the wrong question

The right question should be WHO IS WITH ME

“…But I’ll be with you.”  [Exodus 3:12]

God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM,” and he said, “You shall tell the children of Israel this: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” [Exodus 3:14]

3. Replace the negative ?” with ?

Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you’?” [Exodus 4:1]

Anytime you step out and want to do anything for God there is always a list of what ifs

Stakes represent = security, safety, routine, comfort.

20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20 – NLT

4. Replace your to ”

“Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.” But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send someone else.”  [Exodus 4:12]

The kingdom of God is going to advance with or without you.

Do not be afraid, You will not be put to shame – vs 4
