Summer with Jesus: Can I Borrow Your Boat?

Today’s Primary Passage: Luke 5:1-11

“Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”

“Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything.” — Luke 5:5

“Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything…but because you say so, I will let down the nets.”

“When they had done so they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break….When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees…” — Luke 5:6-8

“Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people. So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.” — Luke 5:10-11

Have you ever wondered Jesus didn’t just tell Peter what would happen if he went fishing?

You know why Jesus didn’t give Peter more information before He asked to borrow his boat? He wanted Peter to Him.

At the end of the day, that’s what following Jesus is all about. Will we Him? Will we have in Him?
