Introduction: When Joseph was just a seventeen-year-old boy, he was taken by his brothers and sold into slavery. He lived to be one hundred ten years old. This means he lived in Egypt for ninety-three years. Some Bible commentators, doubt that Joseph, outside of his own family, ever came in contact with on believer in all those years. Yet he lived a faithful life, faithful to the only true and living God.

- To see that the last thing we have the privilege to do for God on this earth is to die right.
- To be reminded that those of us who know the Lord are living in a strange land, and our home is in heaven.
- To make ourselves familiar with the promises of God and claim His promises day by day to find strength for our journey.
- To determine to be faithful to pass on the truth of the Word of God to the next generation, just as others were faithful to hand it down to us.
–There is nothing greater in life than to finish right.
I. DYING IN A STRANGE LAND!
–The last thing you and I have the privilege to do for God on this earth is to die right.
II. DEPARTING FROM EGYPT!
–At times we take our eyes off the promises of God and begin to live as if this world is all there is.
III. DEPOSITING HIS BONES!
Exodus 13:19; Genesis 50:24-25; Joshua 24:29-32
–With diligence, let us guard and proclaim the Word of God to the next generation.
