“All The Days of My Life!”
Lesson 12 of 13
Introduction: We often count our lives by years, but God counts by days. Each day God gives us is a precious gift. Our lives can become self-centered and consumed with our own interests, but we should yield each day to God. In this lesson, Pastor Shane will teach that our Shepherd has provided two companions to follow us throughout every day – goodness and mercy. We will also look to God’s Word and find certain things that should be a part of every day in the life of a believer. With our days passing so swiftly, may God help us to make each one count for Him!
Bible Background Reading:
Psalm 23; Revelation 3:20; Psalm 90:9-15
Day 1: We find in Psalm 23:6 that the Lord has chosen to divide our lives into segments called what?
Day 2: According to Psalm 23:6, what two companions follow the believer each day? Why do we need them?
Day 3: In Psalm 90:1-15, how many times does God speak about our “days”? Why is every day important?
Day 4: According to Psalm 90:12, if we number our days, how will this make a difference in our lives?
Day 5: List several ways in which Proverbs 27:1 can apply to your life.
Day 6: Name the things that the Bible teaches that should be a part of every day life in the life of a Christian.
- To recognize that God has provided His goodness and mercy for every day.
- To consider how quickly our days are passing.
- To sense with urgency that every day must be given to God.
–As Christians, we are to yield each day God gives us to the Lord.
I. THE PROVISION FOR OUR DAYS!
–God provides His goodness and mercy, not just on occasion, but for all the days of our lives.
II. THE PASSING OF OUR DAYS!
–If you are going to live for God, you need to begin today!
III. THE PLAN FOR OUR DAYS!
