Anxiety Level #4

The presence of anxiety is unavoidable, but the prison of anxiety is optional.

Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Meditation – to sit still long enough and focus on what is true.

We need to think about what we think about because not every thought is worth thinking about.

2 Cor 10:5 we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

What are my anxious thoughts that I need to empty?

What thoughts do I need to fill my mind with?

Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

The God with me is bigger than anything I am facing in my life.
