Defeating The Giant Of Worry part 2May 2, 2021 / Jared Douglas / First Red Oak
To Defeat the Giant of Worry in Our Lives We Must:
1. Put God First in Our Life.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33
2. Live One Day at a Time.
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
“Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.”
3. Pray About Everything.
“Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” I Peter 5:7
4. Turn Our “What-If’s” into “Even-If’s”.
“Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if He does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” Daniel 3:16-18
