Choosing Joy – Phil 4:11-13

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4: 11-13
One of the biggest things that feeds and fuels discontentment in our lives:
- Comparison
“A tranquil heart gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.” Proverbs 14:30
The more we compare ourselves with others, the more discontent we become…
Contentment means our souls are satisfied and at rest….
Transforming truth that we must understand about contentment:
Real contentment is not based upon WHAT we have; real contentment is based upon WHO has us!!!
