DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

Head

  • How would you describe the OT prophets? What were their roles in society and what types of messages did they deliver?
  • Work together as a group to describe the prophet Zephaniah. Who was he? What was happening in the world during his ministry?
  • How would you describe the Day of the Lord in your own words?

Heart

  • Read Zephaniah 3:14-20. Which of the promises of the Lord in this passage resonate most with you? Why? Share a time that you experienced the promises of the Lord from this passage. How did it change that situation?
  • We don’t know when, but we know the Day of the Lord is near (Zephaniah 1:7). How do you make sense of that in your life today? Does it impact your thoughts, actions, attitude, or ways?

Hands

  • Read Zephaniah 3:9-13. Consider the traits that describe the people of God in this passage. How might you exhibit those traits this week?
