Hebrews 3:1-6 Four truths from Exodus that are foundational to understanding Easter. is too far for God. Jeremiah 29:11-14 | John 10:10 | Galatians 5:1 SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS What Do You Think? What struck a chord with you from the Easter service? The story of your life. From a spiritual perspective, what has been the most memorable Easter experience of your life (ex: church service, inspiring video, thought-provoking devotional, other personal experience)? On Sunday, Pastor Kyle mentioned that Jesus freed us from something for something better. What is something God freed you from in the past year and what do you think He may be freeing you to? Digging Deeper in God’s Word. On Sunday, Pastor Kyle discussed the fact that Jesus fulfilled what Moses started. Read Hebrews 10:1-24 together. Compare and contrast the Old Covenant and the New Covenant established by Christ using the verses we just read as a guide. What tangible applications/actions are believers to take in light of the New Covenant as expressed in these verses? Since we just celebrated the Resurrection, let’s read Mark’s crucifixion and resurrection account together. In Mark 14:32-15:47, Jesus encountered many people during his arrest, trial, and crucifixion who reacted to him in different ways. What were the responses of the religious leaders (Mark 14:43-65, 15:31-32)? What were the responses of the bystanders (Mark 15:6-15, 29-30)? What were the responses of the women (Mark 15:40-41)? What was the response of the Roman Centurion (Mark 15:39)? How have you seen some of those responses to Jesus reflected in your own experience or watching others respond to Jesus? Despite Jesus’ repeated prayer that the Father find another way to accomplish His purpose, he still went obediently to the Cross. In what ways are you inspired by Jesus’ prayer “no my will but Yours be done”? Now read Mark 16:1-7 and have a few members of the group recap the story using their own words. What does this story tell us about God/people/you? In light of all this, is there anything you need to do differently? Personal reflection and application. Have everyone share one thing someone else mentioned that stood out to them. Pray for one another.
