“Turning Opposition into Opportunity“

Power for You – Week 12

Acts 4:1-3 And as they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them, 2 greatly annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

3 Declarations for your life to help you turn opposition into opportunity:

1. I am made for .

Jesus said, John 15:20 “No servant is greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also”

Paul Said, 2 timothy 3:12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted

Acts 4:3 And they arrested them and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening.

2. I am not allowing current to distract me from God’s Call

If the enemy can you he can you

Ephesians 6:12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Luke 6:27-29. Love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn the other cheek.

3. I am living for eternity not

Matthew 5:10-12 God blesses those who are persecuted because they live for God: The kingdom of heaven will be theirs! You will be blessed with people insult you, and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Hebrews 12:2-3 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
