“The Gift of Discipleship”

“The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (2 Pet.1:8)

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Cor. 5:17)

  1. Discipleship Must Be .

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”

(Matt. 13:45-46)

This Gift Takes Not Just .

“Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.” (1 Tim. 4:7)

  • Train by repeating .

“This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples.” (John 15:8)

  • Train by being .

“We are competent to counsel (instruct) one another…” (Rom. 15:14b,)

  • Train until the becomes the .

“My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you…” (Gal. 4:19)
