What If We Believed In Prayer?

1. What If We Believed . . . in the  for Prayer?

Acts 4:23 (NIV) —  On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.

2. What If We Believed . . . in the  of Prayer?

 Acts 4:24 (NIV) — When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.

“When we gaze at our sovereign God, we need only to glance at our problems.” (Ajith Fernando)

3. What If We Believed . . . in the   of Prayer?

Acts 4:29 (NIV) —  Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.

“Do not pray for easy lives, pray to be stronger people. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers, pray for powers equal to your tasks.” (Phillips Brooks)

Acts 4:30 (NIV) — Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

Acts 4:31 (NIV) — After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
