                                                            Exodus 20:1-17

The Ten Commandments provide another for our lives

We need to take the Ten Commandments seriously – they our lives

The Ten commandments fill a in our culture and faith

These Commands are only the of the Christian’s responsibility to God and others                      

         “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” Matt19:16 (NIV)

  “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” Matthew 19:21 (NIV)

 The Ten Commandments were God’s gift to a world

                        Jesus spoke and taught of a higher calling – the law of

  He answered: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'” Luke 10:27 (NIV)

 Yet we fall of the Ten Commandments and Jesus’ law of love

That’s why there must be , and why we need a

             for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 (NIV)

 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (NIV)

We are God’s children,  not through our but by means of His  

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.   John 1:17 (NIV)

                      Trust in Jesus’ grace and forgiveness gives you over sin and death
