GRADUATE’S SUNDAY
“Attitude For The Graduate”
Philippians 2:5
Success doesn’t just happen; it is organized, preempted, and captured by common sense.
1. Attitude -What is it?
- What happens when someone has a positive attitude? It is contagious.
- What happens when someone has a negative attitude? It is contagious.
Why is Attitude Important?
If your attitude to the world is excellent, you will receive excellent results. If you are negative, your responses will be negative.
We live in a world of words. What will determine our happiness, joy, and peace? Not money, not job, but ATTITUDE.
Attitude determines our approach to life.
- We are responsible for our view of life. Philippians 3:13; Galatians 6:7
- Rejoice by choice. Philippians 4:4,11, 12
- We have to be willing to make adjustments to our attitude.
[Attitude Challenge] For one week, begin treating people without exception, as the most important people on earth.
2. Turning Problems/Failure into Blessings.
Every opportunity has a difficulty, and every challenge has a chance.
Adversity is prosperity to those with good attitudes.
- Think of others who succeeded with problems.
- When God wants to educate a person, He sends Him to the school of experience.
- Great leaders emerge when a crisis occurs.
No matter what happens, we are responsible for our attitude.
- You will face difficulties that you didn’t create.
- Not everybody is naturally optimistic –you have to choose to be sometimes.
- Contentment is not attaining position, power, or possessions.
- Contentment comes from learning to be content.
Jeremiah 29:11; Philippians 4:13
