Easter 2020 – The Promisekeeper Lives!

April 12, 2020

Luke 24:1-9 NASB 1  But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. 2  And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3  but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4  While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling clothing; 5  and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? 6  “He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, 7  saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” 8  And they remembered His words, 9  and returned from the tomb and reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.

Today’s Promises

Matthew 16:24-25 NIV 24  Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25  For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.

John 6:37 (NIV) 37  All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

Mark 10:29-31 (NIV) 29  “I tell you the truth,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30  will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields–and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life. 31  But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”.

John 14:21 (NIV) 21  Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”

with God

John 15:14-15 (NIV) 14  You are my friends if you do what I command. 15  I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you..

John 15:9-11 (NIV) 9  “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10  If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11  I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

John 16:33 (NIV) 33  “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
