God’s Glorious Story:   Trusting God’s Goodness

Psalm 23:1-6      Philippians 4:6-7

The Holy Land trip was time to focus on God’s story

Recent events have given us all much to be about

How do we trust God’s in the midst of uncertainty?

Remind ourselves of God is

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. Isaiah 40:28 (NIV)

Remind ourselves of God has done for us

“This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Jeremiah 31:33 (NIV)

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
5  in order to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as children.
Galatians 4:4-5 (NRSV)

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace Ephesians 1:7 (NIV)

Rely on His presence with us

1  The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2  He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
3  He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23:1-4 (NKJV)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Don’t let or drive your thinking

wisely

your neighbor

Remember to walk by , not and never stop your neighbor
