The Simple Gospel

(Matthew 9:9-13) As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him. 10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” 12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

✓ When I don’t feel

(Luke 5:27) After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. “Follow me,” Jesus said to him, 28 and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.

(Romans 5:8) God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

(1 Timothy 1:15) Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ came into the world to save sinners …

✓ When I don’t feel

(James 4:8)

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

✓ When I just don’t 

1. Realize that Jesus will continually search for you. 

(John 20:27)  Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” 

2. Take a step to discover who Jesus is.

3. Give your life to the One who gave His life.

(Romans 3:22 NLT) We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.

(John 11:25-26) I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live,even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?
