  • Authentic, Honest, Life-Changing Relationships

Ecclesiastes 4:8-12 This is the case of a man who is all alone, without a child or a brother, yet who works hard to gain as much wealth as he can. But then he asks himself, “Who am I working for? Why am I giving up so much pleasure now?” It is all so meaningless and depressing. Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

Romans 12:5 NLT …Since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others.

2 Cor 4:2 Since God has so generously let us in on what he is doing, we’re not about to throw up our hands and walk off the job just because we run into occasional hard times. We refuse to wear masks and play games. We don’t maneuver and manipulate behind the scenes. And we don’t twist God’s Word to suit ourselves.

“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.’” -C.S. Lewis

Proverbs 27:17 NIV As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

Colossians 2:19 NIV …the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

KIDS MATTER

We can’t afford to drop the baton of faith! Our kid’s eternity is at stake!

Judges 2:8-12 Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of 110. After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the Lord or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel. The Israelites did evil in the Lord’s sight and served the images of Baal. They abandoned the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt. They went after other gods, worshiping the gods of the people around them. And they angered the Lord.

  • L.I.F.E. Living Is for Eternity!

Prov 6:20-23 My son, obey your father’s commands and don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. Keep their words always in your heart. Tie them around your neck. When you walk, their counsel will lead you. When you sleep, they will protect you. When you wake up, they will advise you. For their command is a lamp and their instruction a light; their corrective discipline is the way to life.

  • We’re preparing our children for life on their own with a faith of their own!

“Our role as parents is to impress on our children the love and character of God.” – Reggie Joiner

SACRIFICIAL SERVING

We sacrifice time with family or time for ourselves in order to serve others because Christ sacrificed so much for us.

Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”

“The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered” Proverbs 11:25

  • Serving is the most effective way to fulfill God’s purposes.
  • Be of the same mind toward one another. See Romans 12:16.
  • Love one another. See John 13:34-35.
  • Serve one another. See Galatians 5:13.

Life is always better when you live beyond yourself.

Serving is the antidote to selfishness.

Serving is the antidote to loneliness.

Serving is the antidote to a meaningless life.

We follow a Savior who modeled sacrificial service and the best way to honor Him is to imitate Him.
