“Waiting on the Promises of God” | Genesis 12:1-4

April 3, 2022

  • WHO IS  ON GOD PROMISES?

1 The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. 2 I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. 3 I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” 4 So Abram departed as the LORD had instructed, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran. [Genesis 12:1-4 NLT]

  • WAITING HAS A

  • WAITING GIVES ROOM FOR

  • OUR FAITH IS  WHEN WAITING ON GOD’S PROMISES

16 So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe. [Romans 4:16 NLT]

28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. [Romans 8:28 NLT]

6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. [1 Peter 5:6 NLT]
