PURIFIED FOR A PURE LOVE | 1 Peter 1:22-25

22 Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, 23 since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; 24 for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, 25 but the word of the Lord remains forever.” (1 Peter 1:22-25) 

 TO THE TRUTH RESULTS IN  FOR ONE  ANOTHER.  

1.  BEEN PURIFIED SO THAT WE CAN HAVE A PURE LOVE FOR OTHERS.

Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. (1 Peter 1:22)

who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the  sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood (1 Peter 1:2) 

“And the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes.” (Exodus 19:10) 

21 In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. 22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. (Hebrews 9:21-22)
