Why is the book of Hebrews called the roll call of faith? Give examples of Bible characters that stepped out in faith. Share examples of people you know with a reputation for faith.
The book of Hebrews was apparently written to Hebrew Christians. These Christians had a history of Judaism with the attached importance of ceremonial observances. Faith in Jesus has impacted their lives. Contrast their struggles in this new faith with your own.
What does the phrase “by faith” mean to you?
Read Hebrews 11:6. Without faith it is impossible to please God. If we are to draw near to him we must believe. Give examples of what it means to you to draw near to him in faith and belief.
