WHAT WOULD JESUS DO | LOVE DOES, EPISODE 2

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. So no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love. Love is patient and kind. 1 Corinthians 13:1-4

Loving others like Jesus means…

1. LIKE JESUS .

Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.  Romans 15:7 (NLT)

2. LIKE JESUS .

He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.  1 Peter 1:19 (NLT)

If you love only those who love you, why should you get credit for that? Even sinners love those who love them! And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much! “Love your enemies! Do good to them!” You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.  Luke 6:32-36 (NLT)

Treat everyone you meet with dignity.  1 Peter 2:17 (MSG)

3. LIKE JESUS .

Therefore I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little, loves little.  Luke 7:47 (NIV)

You must make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.  Colossians 3:13 (NLT)
