The Sovereignty of God

The last thing that people need in a difficult situation is more

we all have a foundation on which our trust in God rests — lets look at that foundation and it

Three Pillars that undergird our trust in God:

God’s Complete Sovereignty

God is infinite in wisdom

God is perfect in Love

Stephen Lawson: “The Sovereignty of God is the foundational truth of Christian theology – it is the bedrock of all doctrine.”

C.H. Spurgeon: “There is no attribute more comforting to his children than that of God’s sovereignty.” 

A God that is not completely sovereign is not

The word Sovereign: Supreme power; Freedom from external control; a controlling influence

Notice the clarity in of God’s sovereignty 

God does NOT need human in any sense to act

Psalms 93-99 are Psalms 

Repeated Phrase: The LORD reigns

God is the Monarch of monarchs 

“The LORD reigns” is tense

Setting: Before the foundation of the Earth

The Will of God

The purpose of God

Predestined 

If God is not in complete control then how are we to trust Him?
