You Asked For It – Part 4 of 5

“Suppose a man marries a woman and consummates the marriage but later finds her displeasing, because he has found her offensive in some respect. He writes her a divorce document, gives it to her and sends her away from his house.”

“If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing or her conjugal love. If he does not provide her with those three things, she is free to go without payments of money.” ​​​​​Exodus 21:10-11

Marriage vows include:

1. To be Faithful.

2. To Provide.

3. To Love.

“Because Joseph did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce Mary quietly.” ​Matthew 1:19

“Some Pharisees came to Jesus to test Him or trap Him. They asked Him, ‘Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause?’” ​​​​​Matthew 19:3

Why NOT TO get divorced

1. For the sake of your kids

2. For the sake of your happiness.

3. For the sake of your vows.
