Measuring Your Soul

Paul’s desire for brethren is that they might know the full “measure” of Christ’s love and that they “be filled with all the fullness of God.” So, how are we supposed to measure that fullness? How do we know the fullness of our soul?

I. FIRST, WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE “MEASUREMENTS” OF GOD’S LOVE:

A. God’s love is wide enough to include . Jesus’ love is so wide it

B. God’s love is long enough to .

C. God’s love is deep enough to .

D. God’s love is high enough to !

II. OUR SOUL MAY BE MEASURED BY:

A. THE HEIGHT OF ITS

1. Our highest priority in life should be to and to also. (Colossians 3:1-2)

2. Have you taken inventory of your life and considered where God fits into your priorities? 

B. THE DEPTH OF ITS

1. You must get deep into before can get deep into you!

2. If someone questions, or attacks your faith, can you answer or defend it? Remember 1 Peter 3:15!

C. THE LENGTH OF ITS

1. is a mature, “big soul” kind of love – it is a LONG kind of love because it by of others

D. THE WIDTH OF

1. Just as God’s love is wide enough to include every person, so should our love be – that is expressed through the width of our

2. How wide is your response to Matthew 25:31-46?

E. THE WEIGHT OF

1. Those who see your light or taste the seasoning of love can , which can . If another soul is saved from the darkness, is not ? (Matthew 5:14-16)
