1. Who’s the best listener in your family? What makes them a good listener? 
2. In Mark 4, Jesus tells the story of four soils which represent 4 ways people respond when listening to God’s Word. Read Mark 4:1-20. 
3. Jesus expects His hearers to each relate to at least one of these 4 soils (hard soil, rocky shallow soil, thorny soil, good soil). Which soil do you relate to most? Why?
4. Pastor Justin said, “Many hear Jesus, but few follow.” What do you think he meant by that? Do you agree/disagree? Why? 
5. What does Mark 4:1-20 teach you about God?
6. What does this passage teach you about yourself?
7. If this passage is true, how are we called to live differently?
