Jesus is… the Door

Cultivating gratitude and thankfulness is one of the most effective things a person can do to improve the everyday quality of life.

(John 10:6-10 NLT) Those who heard Jesus use this illustration didn’t understand what he meant, so he explained it to them: “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

  1. Thank God for the .
  2. Thankfully Walk Through the .

(John 10:9 NLT) Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.

(Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT) God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

We aren’t saved by good works but we are renewed to do good works.

  1. Be Thankful in .

(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NLT) Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Professor Emmons, “Gratitude has one of the strongest links to mental health and satisfaction with life of any personality trait—more so than even optimism, hope, or compassion. The most satisfied people learn to see life through ‘gratitude glasses.’”

Ben Stein “I cannot tell you anything that, in a few minutes, will tell you how to be rich. But I can tell you how to feel rich, which is far better. Be grateful. Be grateful about everything and you’ll feel a lot richer than the billionaires I know who are always moaning about everything that happens. It’s the only totally reliable get-rich-quick scheme.”
