- God longs for his children to return to Him. Have you ever noticed yourself turning away from God? Why do we struggle with the concept that God longs for/wants us to return to Him?
- God chose a people, the Israelites. God also chooses us. How do you feel about God choosing you to be His child?
- Zechariah mentions Joshua’s filthy clothes as a symbol of his iniquity (sin). Can you share of a time that you recognized your uncleanliness before God?

- Zechariah saw Jesus rightly as the Good Shepherd, Priest, and King. How have you seen Jesus fulfill these roles in your life?
- If you are not close to God right now, what is keeping you from returning?
