Sanctified Sarcasm for the Purpose of the Gospel

 2 Corinthians 11:1-12:10        (Gospel in Motion)             August 1, 2021

I. Paul’s Sanctified Sarcasm comes from a Pure & Godly derived from his love for them! (2 Cor 11:1-15)

  1. First off, there is such a thing as Godly Jealousy.
  2. I believe we too should have a Godly Jealousy!
  3. We should recognize that God is Jealous over us!

II. Paul with Sanctified Sarcasm says, Let’s look at me in the way you look at you! (2 Cor 11:16-23)

  1. Paul does not boast in his victories and His strengths….but rather….he boasts in his defeats and weaknesses!)

III. The Holy Irony that Paul shares is that when we are , then we are truly ! (2 Cor 12:1-10)

  1. Right off the bat, in 12:1….Paul is reminding them that his boasting was only fitting because of them, but it wasn’t profitable.
  2. And it is here that we see the red letters in Paul’s letter that has comforted millions of Christians to this day.
