The Prodigal Son

As we come to our text we see five truths:

I. His Rebellion   V.11-12

In these verses we do see the heart of man don’t we?

Isaiah 53:6- All of us, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the wrongdoing of us all to fall on Him.

Romans 3:23- for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

II. His Revelry   V. 13-16

Proverbs 13:15- “The way of the transgressor is harder”

Galatians 6:7- Do not be deceived, God is not mocked

III. His Repentance   V. 17-19

IV. His Return   V.20

True repentance involves not only a right attitude, but a right action

V. His Reconciliation   V.20-24
