“Fatherless NO More”

Luke 3:22 – And the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”

1. What others say about you is not nearly as powerful as what YOU SAY about YOU!!! 

2. Outside of prayer the most important conversation we will ever have is the conversation we have with ourselves.

Proverbs 18:21 – Death and life are in the power of the tongue…

NLT: the tongue can bring death or it can bring life. 

In a fatherless society authenticity is being redefined as being true to your feelings instead of true to your purpose.

3. You Are NOT a Statistic, you are a child of God. 

4. You can’t help what happened TO YOU; but you can HELP what happens THROUGH YOU!

Psalm 146:9 – The Lord protects the strangers; He supports the fatherless…

When Fathers are absent the society becomes ill. 

John 14:18 “I will not leave you (fatherless) as orphans; I will come to you.

When you take away morals and values from a nation, eventually fatherlessness begins to be the result of a generation.

How does God feel about the Fatherless? 

1. He wants them to be looked over, cared for and loved. 

James 1:27 – Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans (fatherless) and widows in their distress…

2. He wants them to be defended. 

Deuteronomy 10:18 – He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow…

3. He wants them to be treated fairly, with respect and not mistreated. 

Exodus 22:22 – You must not mistreat any widow or fatherless child.

4. He wants them to feel comforted and be helped. 

Psalm 10:14 – But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you are the helper of the fatherless.

So what is the solution to a fatherless generation? 

5. He wants to be their Father. 

Psalm 68:5 – God is a Father to the fatherless, defender of widows – this is God.
