3 Habits For Your Best Life

Habit = Something you do without even thinking…

1. First Things First

Habits for Better Relationships & Community

  1. Call, text, or email one friend or family member a day.
  2. Write a thank you note every week.
  3. End your night with a word of thanks or encouragement.
  4. Set aside money or something you have for generosity.
  5. Take a short walk around the block, say hi to your neighbors, pick up any trash or litter on your street.

Mark 12:28-31 – (28) One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” (29) “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. (30) Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ (31) The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

2. Think About What You Think About

Proverbs 23:7As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

Habits for Better Productivity & Success

  1. Do a 5-minute daily review at the end of the day.
  2. Turn off all notifications for at least one long block of work time every day.
  3. Respond to all invitations and opportunities with: “I’ll check my calendar.”
  4. Write down your goals in the present tense.
  5. Spend 5 minutes a day thinking about the process you will take that will get you to your life goals.

Matthew 6:31-33 – (31) So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ (32) For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. (33) But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow…

3. Take Action

1 Peter 1:13 – “Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you by Jesus Christ.”

Proverbs 13:20 – Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble (will suffer harm). Disaster (trouble) chases sinners…

Proverbs 15:31 – He who listens to life-giving reproof will dwell among the wise.

1 Corinthians 15:33-34 – Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”   34 Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning.

John 13:17  – “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”

James 4:17  – “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”

My Offering Declaration And Blessing

Upon the authority of Your Word,

I have given, and it shall be given to me;

Pressed down, shaken together, and running over.

I bring my tithe and offering to You O God,

Now the enemy is rebuked, and every curse is broken.

I receive Your blessings and the abundance that comes from You.

I receive jobs and promotions, raises and bonuses,

Sales and commissions, benefits and settlements,

Bills paid off, and debts dismissed.

I decree that my whole family will be saved and walk with God

In health, abundance, divine favor and blessings.

I will be blessed going in; I will be blessed going out.

And all that I do will prosper in Jesus’ Name.

Amen and it is so.
