“POWER OF A TESTIMONY” | Pastor Renee Danganan

1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who  sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 “Neither this man nor his parents  sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 As  long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can  work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 After saying this, he spit on the  ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. 7 “Go,” he told him,  “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. 8 His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?” 9 Some claimed that he was. Others said, “No, he only  looks like him.” But he himself insisted, “I am the man.” 10 “How then were your eyes opened?”  they asked. 11 He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.” 12 “Where is this man?” they asked him. “I don’t know,” he said. (John 9:1-12)

  1. WE SHARE OUR TESTIMONY BECAUSE IT’S
  2. WE SHARE OUR TESTIMONY BECAUSE IT BRINGS TO GOD.
  3. WE SHARE OUR TESTIMONY BECAUSE GOD DOESN’T WANT US TO IT.  Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. (Deuteronomy 4:9)
  4. WE SHARE OUR TESTIMONY TO OURSELVES.

32 David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go  and fight him.” 33 Saul replied, “You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him;  you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior from his youth.” 34 But David said to Saul,  “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a  sheep from the flock, 35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it, and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37 The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of  the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord  be with you.” (1 Samuel 17:32-37)

  1. WE SHARE OUR TESTIMONY TO HELP US

10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. 12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is  filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” Revelation 12:10-11
