Matthew 16:24-28

1. Jesus is very regarding the path to eternal life with Him. vs. 24

• We take up a cross daily and Him.

2. Our attempts for will not work. vs.25-26

“What carelessness and brutal stupidity is this, that men are so strongly attached to the world, and so much occupied with its affairs, as not to consider why they were born, and that God gave them an immortal soul, in order that, when the course of this earthly life is finished, they might live eternally in heaven.” -John Calvin
