Jesus and Relationships: Eternity And My Neighbor?

Luke 10:25-37

  • Not just people that look
  • Not just people that share


  1. A neighbor is someone  you to that needs love, compassion, and care. Luke 10:33-34


In order to love my neighbor, I must:

  • See people the way Jesus
  • Rely on the Holy Spirit to
  • Be prepared to listen, love, and

1 Peter 2:1-12

There are three reminders that elevate our love for God and devotion to Him and others: Reminder 1: God’s appraisal of us .

What are some of God’s benefits toward us?

o Living Stones Lively stones in a spiritual house (v. 5)

o Holy Priesthood Royal /King Priest (v. 5 & 9)

o Chosen Race (v. 9)

o Holy Nation (v. 9)

o People for God’s Own Possession Peculiar people (v. 9)

Characteristics of a priest:

o , Cleansed, Clothed, Anointed, Prepared, Obedience, Committed to the Word, Communicated with God, Impacted Others,

  • Introspective Thought: The characteristics and ordination practices of the OT priest parallel the new characteristics and practices of every believer.

  • What does that say of my value to God?

o God’s value of us .

Reminder 3: God’s Appraisal of Us .
