GALATIANS: Authentic Gospel vs. False Teaching

Galatians 3:1-14

1. We have a choice to make, will we live by or . vs. 1-6

Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith — just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”? vs. 5-6

2. The promises of God are received by . vs. 7-9

So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. vs. 9

3. This faith is placed in the work of Christ on the . vs. 10-14

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree” – vs. 13

“The purpose of our holy and righteous God was to save his church, but their sin could not go unpunished. It was, therefore, necessary that the punishment for that sin be transferred from those who deserved it but could not bear it, to one who did not deserve it but was able to bear it.”  John Owens
