Matthew 9:35-38

1. We need to as Jesus saw. (vs. 35–36)

     When he saw the crowds… vs. 36

When over the years someone has seen you at your worst, and knows you with all your strengths and flaws, yet commits him—or herself—to you wholly, it is a consummate experience.

2. We need to as Jesus felt. (vs. 36)

     …he had compassion for them… vs. 36

• Jesus saw people as “harassed.” vs. 36
• Jesus saw people as “helpless.” vs. 36

3. We need to as Jesus did. (vs. 37–38)

…pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. vs. 38   

• Jesus prayed.
• Jesus sends us.
