Looking At A Disciple Of Christ

Matthew 10:32-42

Jesus was like a preparing His men for spiritual .

There was no place for “ His men good” – He wanted them to be .

Jesus lifted up qualities of a loyal disciple.

Loyal Disciples:

Openly Jesus Before The World.

Real disciples aren’t about identifying with Jesus and Him as Lord.

Therefore, everyone who confesses Me before people, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. Matthew 10:32 NASB

The word “confess” means or .

You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. James 2:19

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.  Romans 10:9-10 NLT

But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven. Matthew 10:33 NLT

Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. Romans 12:18

If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine.  If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.  If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.  Matthew 10:37-39
