Dads – Passing On The Impossible

John 6:1-14; Mark 9:14-29

Got any rivers you think are uncrossable;
Got any mountains you can’t tunnel through?
God specializes in things tho’t impossible;
He does the things others cannot do.

‘Oh, Lord God! Behold, You Yourself have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You.  Jeremiah 32:17

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?”  Jeremiah 32:27

For nothing will be impossible with God.  Luke 1:37

But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”  Luke 18:27

John 6 Has A Familiar Event That Is Also Very Unique.

1^st The only miracle in all gospels.

2^nd It is the only account we have that Jesus asked the of someone else.

3^rd It is the only time Jesus performed a miracle before such a crowd.

4^th It is an absolute .

So Jesus, after raising His eyes and seeing that a large crowd was coming to Him, said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread so that these people may eat?”  John 6:5

But He was saying this only to test him, for He Himself knew what He intended to do.  Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not enough for them, for each to receive just a little!”  John 6:6-7
