Is it Worth the Cost?

Sermon by Pastor Brent Snook / Feb 13, 2022

Bible Text: Matthew 9:35-38

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest. Matthew 9:35-38

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Ezekiel 22:30

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20:22-24

“God, I pray Thee, light these idle sticks of my life that I may burn for Thee.

Consume my life, my God, for it is Thine.

I seek not a long life, but a full life, like you – Lord Jesus.” Jim Elliot

V. WORTH THE COST BECAUSE OF A PERSON

Why It Is Worth The Cost

1. “I am debtor.”

2. “I am ready.”

3. “I am not ashamed.”
