Won’t You Be My Neighbor?
April 18, 2021Won’t You Be My Neighbor?
Matthew 22:34-40
Observations:
1. You love God if you love your neighbor.
- 1 John 4:20
“So loving others is the outward manifestation, the visible expression, the practical demonstration, and therefore the fulfillment of what the Old Testament is about. So, there is a sense in which the second commandment (to love your neighbor) is the visible goal of the whole Word of God.” – John Piper
2. Because we are inherently , there is to love our neighbor as our self unless we love God .
- Revelation 2:4-5
- Matthew 6:33
- Matthew 22:37-38
Application:
- Love and seek God
- Allow God to all of your deep idols.
- Love your neighbor out of the and God provides.
