  1. Comment on the juxtaposition that God does not exist to serve you, but he loves and delights in serving you.
  2. How does that proper understanding change the way you respond to or treat God?
  3. Why is humility so important when it comes to receiving the blessings of God? Have you ever responded like Peter or James and John? Have you ever wanted something else than what God has for you?
  4. What does it look like to be completely dependent on God? How do we maintain that mindset?
  5. Would you consider yourself consistently desperate to see God? If not, explain why.
  6. How do you feel when you think about getting to see God? What does your response reveal about the current condition of your heart?
  7. Taking all of this into account, what do you want God to do for you?
