- In John 14:15, Jesus makes the connection between love and obedience. What are your thoughts on that?
- Is it possible to truly love Jesus if we don’t do what he says? Explain.
- If obedience is a measure of our love for Jesus, how well are you loving Jesus right now?
- Does knowing that Peter’s love was not at the level Jesus was looking for bring you hope? Why or why not?
- If Jesus could use someone like Peter, what can He do with you?
- The third time Jesus asks Peter “do you love me,” He meets Peter at Peter’s passionate emotional level of love. The gospel story shows us Jesus did not leave Peter in that place, but transformed Peter into a person who had self-control and endurance. Do you believe Jesus will meet you at your level of love and do you trust Him to take you where you need to be? Share.
