Observations:

  • Psalm 18:1-3

Application:

1. in the Lord.

2. for God’s vengeance.

Family Discussion Points:

*Open by reading Nahum 1:1-8.

  1. Have you ever felt evil will not end? Explain.
  2. What does it mean to you that vengeance and retribution belong to God? Why is it so hard to trust him with those?
  3. God says He is our stronghold and cares for and protects those who run to Him. Why do we not run to Him more often?
  4. Share about a time you ran to God in the midst of distress. How did you receive God’s care, comfort, protection, etc.?
  5. Do you believe God is good when you face evil? Explain.
  6. God protected His children even in a season of discipline. How does this bring you comfort?

* Close by taking any deep hurts that cause thoughts of vengeance before the Lord and confessing your ultimate trust that He will bring about justice.
