Group/Community Discussion Points:

*Open by reading 1 Samuel 17:28-30, 17:33, and 17:41-44.

  1. “Rejected people reject people.” Have you ever faced rejection at the hands of somebody who has been rejected? Have you ever rejected anybody as a result of others having rejected you at some point? Explain.

  2. Has the enemy ever filled you with the fear that you can’t do something because you’re not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, strong enough, etc.? Please share. How do you combat those lies?

  3. We learn from the Bible that God has chosen to faithfully love and pursue us from before time and space began. Do you believe that? Why or why not? Why are we so quick to forget how much our God values us?

  4. How does it make you feel to know that you are worth Jesus to God? What does that mean to you?

  5. How can you practice living in the acceptance that God gives you, and not in working for the acceptance of others?

  6. How are you pursuing the God who has been and always will pursue you?

* Close by asking God to help you to live in the peace that comes from his acceptance.
