Group/Community Discussion Points:

*Open by reading Romans 10:17

  1. Day after day, morning and night, Goliath taunted the armies of Israel. Can you give some examples of how fear has relentlessly taunted you?
  2. Goliath is introduced as a champion, someone with a history of being victorious. Does the devil ever cause you to be afraid by reminding you of his past victories in your life?
  3. What are some other names for fear that were mentioned this morning? Can you identify any of these in your life? Please share the toll that these have taken on you.
  4. Which of the three taproots of fear do you struggle with the most? Please share with the group.
  5. Cultivating our faith is the key to experiencing the victory over fear that Jesus has already provided for us on the cross. Which of the four ways mentioned this morning do you need to work on the most? What is one tangible thing you can do this week to begin cultivating your faith in this area?

* Close by asking God to help you increase your faith so that you can walk in the freedom that Jesus has provided over the giant of fear.
