“BY LOVE COMPELLED”
= for ancient Greeks it was the principle they thought dominated their whole universe… almost like a god.
is the pressure forcing one to be or do or feel or think or say, and that pressure rises up against one .
is the pressure forcing one to be or do or feel or think or say, and that pressure rises up in a person .
Great Commandment/Great Commission…
The amount that we love and obey the Lord our God will be clearly
demonstrated in how much we are on mission, in His purpose, with Him.
Matthew 28: 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
II CORINTHIANS 5:11-20
GOD’S COMPELLING …
11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. 14 For Christ’s LOVE compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.
15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again… 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new CREATION has come….
19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
20 We are therefore Christ’s AMBASSADORS as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be to God.
