Matthew 8:23-27
You May Be A Worrier If
You tend to dwell on problems
You are easily upset by small annoyances
You are naturally critical
You have physical symptoms
You constantly rehash past events
You feel insecure about the future You feel burned out
You find lose ends hard to handle
You are defensive and confrontational
You have a problem when you don’t get your way
The Causes Of Worry
Matthew 8:23 Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples.
24 Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.
The Storm: Unexpected
The Waves: Overwhelming
The Boat: Inadequate
Jesus: Insufficient
The Cure For Worry
Matthew 8:25 The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.
27 The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!”
Respond Like A Of Jesus
Philippians 4:6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
