Acts 14:13-23
Paul’s whole purpose was to honor and glorify the name of Jesus Christ.
He the People – v. 18
- Preachers are not to be worshipped. They are simply servants
Daniel 2:28-29 | Genesis 41:16
- God is displeased when men take His glory to themselves
Acts 12:22-23 | 1 Timothy 3:16
He Rose Up and – vv. 20-21
- They stoned him to death
- God told the church of Philadelphia, He had given them an open door
Revelation 3:7-8
- He needed to return to the city where he had ministered
Romans 10:13 | 2 Timothy 2:1-2 | 2 Timothy 2:3
He the Disciples – v. 22
- Satan is the master of doubt
Genesis 3:1 | Genesis 3:4
- Even John the Baptist had doubts

- John wrote to first century believers to assure them of salvation

- You are saved if Jesus tells the truth

- Exhorting them to continue in the faith

- Encouraging them that tribulation is part of representing the kingdom

- They need your encouragement through your prayer and expressions of love
He Order – v. 24

- God has an organization plan for the church
Philippians 1:1
- God wants mature believers to serve the flock of God
- God wants all believers to live holy lives
Ephesians 4:1-3
- The local church was organized by God for you and His other children
He Them Back to God – v. 23
- If you love your children, you are careful who you release them to
Acts 20:32
CONCLUSION
Paul was a tremendous servant of God
- He restrained people from worshipping him
- He rose up and returned to those he served
- He reassured or confirmed the faith for those he discipled
- He revived or encourage the new believers
- He restored order to the church
- He released his disciples back to God trusting Him with His children
